My weekend, as I expected, was quite slow. I didn't do a whole lot of anything and mostly relaxed and I enjoyed it. I'm really looking forward to a nice short week this week and I'm really looking forward to my cruise in just two weeks. It should be a good time all around and it will be a nice change of pace to get out from here.
No update on the rental car situation. I plan on checking prices again today but I think my hopes of a last minute sale on prices isn't going to happen, unfortunately. I just hate to pay like $40/day for a stupid basic economy class rental car, especially when I know next week the price will be about half that. Stupid supply and demand economy! Damn you Adam Smith!
Last night we went to Don Pablo's because we had a free entree coupon and since Marissa doesn't eat an entree, it was a great deal. You really can't beat $6 for dinner for two. We've been stingy with our money lately but this deal was just too good to pass up so we went for it. Now it's back to eating whatever we have in our apartment and that's it.
Okay, reality check time. It's October and that means it's fall and time to break out the sweaters and light jackets, right? Ordinarilly yes, but then again....I LIVE IN FLORIDA! The past two days has been plain cold in the morning and it's just so weird. Usually when I drive into work, I drive with the windows down on the highway but I'm teetering on the brink of turning on my seat warmers in addition to putting the windows up. The good news, is I officially declare summer over (even in Florida) and the beginning of the beautiful weather is here and I'm looking forward to enjoying the next 6 months of beautiful weather. Once the sun came out yesterday, it was beautiful yesterday and it was one of those days that you should call in sick and enjoy spending time outdoors.
This weekend I'll be spending with friends at Disney. We have a monster vacation home rented and I think it's going to be a fun time together. The weather outlook looks good so hopefully a good time will be had by all and I'm looking forward to a mini vacation after 3 days at work after a 2 week honeymoon. Clearly, I deserve that break!
